Regular working hours are from 8 am - 6 pm, but after that, it would be an emergency call out, and nearly all locksmiths provide a 24-hour locksmith service.

Cost Of An Emergency Locksmith

A skilled locksmith will always cost more than an inexperienced, newly trained one. Most locksmiths will charge an hourly rate, which will increase outside of the regular working hours. If you require a locksmith during one of the UK Bank Holidays, you would be booking an emergency locksmith.

The cost of parts will never increase, only the hourly rate.

For example, if you require a new mortice lock fitted to your wooden door. You would pay £79 for the hourly rate and £45 for the new British Standard mortice lock during regular working hours.

At 2 am, the hourly rate would increase significantly, and you should expect to pay over £100 per hour. If it can wait until the morning, it will be significantly cheaper. We do not have a prices page but will happily discuss costs over the phone. There are no hidden charges or call-out fees.
